I am beyond elated with the job that Rod did for our St. Patrick’s Day Wedding! When we got engaged the first vendor I booked was Rod. We picked our date with his availability in mind- I knew that if he was half as good as his reputation, we needed him. Well, Rod exceeded all of my expectations and made our reception one for the books! The music he picked was thoughtful and he kept the dance floor packed all night! He took time to match the Wedding Party Fashions, he had the coolest decal on his MacBook (our hashtag and a heart stethoscope as my husband and I are both in the medical field). He had my dad record a message that played for me as our father/daughter dance started. All of these were just things he did on his own, just to make the day that much more special. Eric and I had our own monogram on the dance floor that Rod made! Everything I asked for I got- He played requests, laughed and joked with my guests and was more of an MC and Host than a DJ. He ensured the timeline was adhered to and continued to check on Eric and I throughout the night- I was never without a drink in my hand! I highly recommend Rod and his Team! Thank you so much Rod, we will be forever grateful to you for helping us celebrate!
I don’t know where to begin…..Rod has been a friend of mine since high school so naturally when I got engaged he was the one I called first!!!! From our first meeting to our last, I could see the excitement in his eyes and it just made it all the more special for me because I knew my wedding was going to be epic!
From being at the rehearsal and talking to my grandma as if it were his own, to the day of, making sure everything went smoothly and exactly how I wanted it! His relationship with my dad, and hearing my dad rave about what an awesome guy Rod is, just made me tear up and so thankful that I was able to choose Hotbeats for my entertainment! The dance floor was never empty and the compliments on the music selections were never ending.
Rod, from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you enough for making our day more amazing then I could have ever imagined!!! You sir, are the real deal and I want to throw another party just so that you can DJ! (only stipulation is that Mari come too!)

I’m writing this review because I would like to share what some people in Michigan may never get to see or experience due to the popularity of this entertainment company. I was recently able to attend a corporate holiday party at the Lansing Center. The gentlemen spinning the records was TREMENDOUS! His attire was super sharp with the “rose outfit” he wore handing out roses to people and even to wife made our first impression awesome of how the night was going to be. He greeted guest individually as people arrive and I will be honest with you, there are over 2000 employees that were entering but he was so quick to say hello and move throughout the BIG room. It seemed like he loved his job. He would go up to employees of the lansing center and hug, shake hands or even joke with the staff members there my wife told me it felt like he was a “house DJ” or a regular DJ who knew everyone around. I walked up to him on stage and introduced myself and he told me is name was Rod. I just want to say Rod the music was awesome from dinner to dance you kept the room rocking! Thanks again! BOOK THIS GUY FOR YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY PARTY
I don’t even know where to start. I wish I could give a million stars, to Rick at Hotbeats. We got married last night, and he did a phenomenal job. I was getting compliments all night on how great he was. Any song that was requested was played immediately. He worked flawlessly with my photographer, venue, food caterer, and my wedding officiant. Never once, did we doubt Rick. He took the time to sit down with us, and not only get a idea of what we wanted played. But, also took the time to get to know my husband and I, as well as our three children. He even gave my 6 year old, and 4 year old a microphone so they could sing one of there favorite songs to everyone. He took the time to get to know my wedding party. And helped break the tension with my sister who was my maid of honor, she was so scared of doing her speech. But, Rick made jokes with her all night about it. He constantly checked in with both of us to make sure everything was going good, if we needed anything? Or to let us know what was next. We did a drink ticket system, so he even went up to us and asked if we wanted anything? We would hand him a drink ticket and he brought our drink out to us. I would refer him to anyone who ever needs a dj. We will be keeping him in mind for future events. He was a big part of making our day and night so special. Although, it is over now. Last night at my sister’s wedding, Rod Carpenter blew the entertainment out of the water! He gave an amazing performance that was professional and fun. He made sure everyone was having a blast dancing to their favorite songs while keeping the energy at an all time high. I don’t think I ever left the dance floor! Amazing job Rod! Thank you for making the day so special for my sister and new brother in law. #happilyeverhauter
Having Rod as our DJ was a wonderful experience. This was our second time having him at one of our daughters weddings and he was exceptional! Kind spirited and loves to have fun!
